New Hampshire Governor’s Cup Postponed for Second Time
Waterbury, VT – For the second time this month, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Lee USA Speedway officials have announced the postponement of the 28th New Hampshire Governor’s Cup, citing unsuitable ground conditions at the facility. The event has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 12 at 2:00pm.

Waterbury, VT – After finally breaking through for his first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) championship in 2017, Colchester’s Scott Payea is ready to return to the fold in 2018. Payea and his Rick Paya–led RPM Motorsports/Harrison Redi-Mix team will begin their title defense at the season-opening New Hampshire Governor’s Cup on Sunday, April 15 at Lee USA Speedway.
Payea is coming off one the best ACT seasons in recent memory. The veteran won five of the nine events in 2017, including a series-record four straight. The effort earned him the championship after previously finishing second in the standings four times.

Waterbury, VT – With the 2018 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) season less than four weeks away, anticipation is building quickly for the upcoming campaign. The Late Model stars of the Northeastern U.S. and Quebec will flock to Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 15 for the 28th New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150. It will mark the 33rd season of competition for the historic series since its founding in 1986 by the late Tom Curley.
The event has been the scheduled ACT Late Model Tour opener for more than a decade and regularly draws one of the largest fields on the schedule. This year’s 150-lap event at the 1/3-mile oval figures to once again be an ultra-competitive affair as teams fight to start the 2018 season on a high note.

Lee USA Speedway Announces Changes to 2018 NASCAR Sanction.
Lee, NH. – Lee USA Speedway Announced today that effective the 2018 Season the R&R “the tool Store and More” Late Model Sportsmen will be the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Premier Division. Along with a bump in the progressive pay off to car count will bump to $500/$700/$1,000.
The Rodfather Super Modifieds who have been the Premier Division since 2011 will move to the Division 2 slot along with the Rodfather, NASCAR and the track providing a $10,000 Points fund. The Supers Schedule and pay offs will stay the same as posted.

Nashua Businessman Purchases Lee USA Speedway
Nashua, NH. — Longtime Nashua businessman Norman Wrenn Jr. has purchased Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. Wrenn bought the 3/8 mile speedway from John “Red” MacDonald and wife Judy, track owners for the last 33-years. Wrenn made the disclosure Tuesday, February 27.
Wrenn, in his 40th year in the propane gas business, is also a successful stock car racer, dating back to 1983. A many time feature winner and track champion, Wrenn has competed in Pro Stock, Pro-4 modified, and Modified Racing Series competition over a 35-year career. Wrenn ironically won his first Pro Stock race at Lee in 1993.

2017 LEE USA SPEEDWAY AWARDS BANQUET
Manchester, NH – Lee USA Speedway celebrated the top drivers and teams from the 2017 racing season at the annual “Banquet of Champions” on Saturday night, with a packed house honoring the top ten drivers and special award winners at “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed”.
“Hollywood” Dave Helliwell collected the big hardware in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Supermodifieds, making it back-to-back championships aboard the Ed and Bob Witkum-owned machine. Helliwell and the Witkum Brothers Racing crew also collected Best Team Performance for the second straight year.
