A New Chapter of Racing Has Begun at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
NHMS officially opened The Flat Track with a ribbon-cutting ceremony following the Laconia Motorcycle Week kick-off event at the North East Motor Sports Museum on Thursday.
LOUDON, N.H. – New England’s newest race track in 25 years, The Flat Track, is officially open Thursday after a ribbon-cutting ceremony with N.H. Governor Chris Sununu during the Laconia Motorcycle Week kick-off event at the North East Motor Sports Museum. The 0.25-mile dirt track, located behind the museum, is New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s newest racing surface which will host its first event featuring American Flat Track, “America’s Original Extreme Sport,” on June 15.

NHMS will serve as the hub for everything motorcycle during Laconia Motorcycle Week plus host a variety of other events such as Dale Jr. Foundation’s Safe Kids 301, the Sunapee Racing Team, Penguin Roadracing School and more.

LOUDON, N.H. – Country duo, Love And Theft, and singers of the No. 1 country smash “Angel Eyes,” will take the stage before the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers take on “The Magic Mile” on Sunday, July 21. The concert will kick off New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s race day festivities at 12:00 p.m. while moving to a new location on the Trackside Live Stage prior to the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301.

With 192 scheduled events from April through October, track activity begins April 6 with car clubs, cycling groups, drifting and motorcycle racing. The on-track action really heats up when the Loudon Road Race Series kicks off intense competition April 27-28 for New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s 33rd year of racing.
