Todd Buckwold and Keith Mansur Win at 59th Bear Ridge Opening Night

The 59th opening night at the Ridge is officially in the record books after two weeks.

Todd Buckwold wins in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, and Keith Mansur holds on to win in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks.

It took two weeks to get it in, and mother nature almost won them both, but after a half time rebound on week two the home team charged hard and came home the winner. The afternoon rains made for a fast track and plenty of racing excitement for the die-hard fans who ventured out in the cold to be a part of the opening day of our 59th consecutive season of racing sponsored by FMS Auto Parts NAPA of Bradford.

Modified ace Tyler Leary scored a huge win Saturday on the high banks of Monadnock Speedway, topping the 75-lap Todd Martell Memorial Modified main event ahead of a deep field of open-wheel strongmen.

On a hoodies-up night when hot cocoa was much more in fashion than icecream that have long been a staple at the Winchester quarter-mile, the Hatfield, Mass. star was red hot, leading the last 36 laps en route to the big win.

Other winners on the first Saturday of May at Monadnock included JD Stockwell, who won a thriller in the Limited Late Model feature, Carlos Grenier, who was first under the checkers in the Pure Stocks, Randy Clark, victorious in the Pro 4 Modifieds, and Dylan Stati, who scored his first win ever in the Young Guns.

Timmy Jordan Starts Speedbowl 75th Season with Big Win

IMG_1563.jpg

Fans and drivers gathered on a rainy cool morning to kick off The Speedbowl’s 75th season of racing.

It’s been awhile since Mikey Flynn took laps around the Speedbowl but you would never know it as he started off strong in the 75 lap SK Modified(R) main event. He got the jump over 2025 SK Light champion Nickolas Hovey and all-time win leader Keith Rocco. There was one caution to slow the event on lap 6 that Flynn was able to hang on to the lead for at first. Rocco and Todd Owen were able to work by Hovey on their path to the front. Timmy Jordan started to enter the picture just short of half way coming from his mid-pack starting position to move into second by lap 23. Rocco started to fade and Owen moved into the third spot, and by lap 33 Jordan had complete control of the race. The rest of the laps would be run caution free and Jordan would start the season off with the big win. Testing was the key thing said Jordan of his run.

Frank Moulton Wins Group 2 Season Opener at Wiscasset Speedway

Wiscasset Speedway hosted dual Opening Days this past Saturday, featuring the Portland Glass Strictly Streets, Dale’s Cash Fuel Roadrunners, Creative Cleanouts Modifieds, and the Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models for their 2026 season opener.

The Strictly Streets took to the track first for their qualifying heat races, with Ray Dinsmore and Scott Eck leading the charge. Eck edged out Dinsmore for the early lead in the 35-lap feature while Tyler Jordan and Chris Burgess filed in behind him. A mid-race caution on lap 15 brought the field back together and Scott Eck maintained command on the restart.

Melee ensued in the closing laps of the race as Dan Morton and Tyler Dinsmore made hard contact on lap 17, resulting in a red flag. After a solid performance all day, Tyler Jordan lost a tire on the restart, leading to a pile-up with just 6 laps to go that collected Chris Burgess, Landon Tapley, Dale Lawrence, Mike Delano and others.

Reigning Limited Late Model track champion Dylan Zullo is already in the running for what may be the summer’s most exciting victory at the historic quarter-mile oval.
