ACT Unveils Early-Entry List for Hickory Doubleheader

Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has revealed the early-entry list for the Hickory 125 and Easter Bunny 125 on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3. A total of 28 teams have made the early commitment to open their 2021 season by running at least one event at North Carolina’s legendary Hickory Motor Speedway.
The entry list contains a highly-decorated mix of ACT Late Model Tour regulars, weekly Late Model champions, and top drivers who can be found at any big event. Five different states and numerous tracks/series are represented. The events are the first time ever that the ACT Late Models will race at the “Birthplace of NASCAR Stars”.
Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have announced the schedule of events and ticketing information for the 47th Icebreaker at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 10 and 11. The 10-division card is highlighted by the $10,000-to-win Icebreaker 125 for the Thompson Outlaw Open Modified Series plus other top local and regional classes.
In a shift from previous years, all 10 of the divisions competing on Icebreaker weekend will have a “one-day” format. Six divisions have their qualifying and features on Saturday, April 10 with the Icebreaker 125 and remaining divisions set for Sunday, April 11. While teams may attend the Friday Test N’ Tune and other practice opportunities during the weekend, they can also practice, qualify, and race in a single day if they choose.

Waterbury, VT — Even with snow still on the ground, the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) season is coming up fast. Racing gets underway just after the calendar turns to April, with a doubleheader at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway on April 2 and 3 followed by the inaugural Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on April 17.
The triplet of events is a big way to kick off the 36th season of ACT competition and 30th for the ACT Late Model Tour. The first-ever visit for the series to the historic Hickory oval — known as the “Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars” — will be followed by the start of the point-counting season at New England’s most widely-recognized racetrack.

Waterbury, VT — After a one-year delay, The New England Late Model Challenge Cup (NELMCC) is finally debuting in 2021 — and it will be even bigger than originally planned. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials confirmed today that nine tracks have signed up for the first season of the series that will pit weekly Late Model racers from across the region in a summer-long battle for pride, glory, and some serious prize money.
The inaugural Challenge Cup was originally slated for the 2020 season before being pushed back a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The basic format remains the same, with registered drivers taking their 10 best eligible finishes at participating tracks towards the season-long point standings.

N. Woodstock, NH – The final weekend of the 2021 season at White Mountain Motorsports Park has gotten even bigger. White Mountain officials and R&R Race Parts NH have announced that the second annual 75-lap, $5,000-to-win New Hampshire Street Stock Open will be held at the North Woodstock, NH high banks on Saturday, September 25.
The 8-cylinder Street Stock Open debuted in September 2020 to great fanfare. Earlier in the offseason, event organizers polled teams and fans asking where they’d like the second edition held. White Mountain Motorsports Park was the top choice, leading R&R Race Parts NH to reach out to the track.

The 82nd season opener at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park currently consists of a nine-division card highlighted by the $10,000-to-win Icebreaker 125 for the Thompson Outlaw Open Modified Series.
The event marks the return of the historic season kick-off after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Icebreaker was first held in 1974 and has become a staple of the Northeast motorsports calendar. It includes two days of racing with an optional Test N’ Tune on Friday, April 9.
