KENNY WALLACE RETURNING TO RIVERSIDE TO DEFEND IWK 250 TITLE

JAMES RIVER, NS (February 19, 2019) – Kenny Wallace, former NASCAR driver and television broadcaster, is returning to Riverside International Speedway on July 20 for the IWK 250 Presented by Steve Lewis to defend his win last year.

“I had the time of my life last year,” said Wallace.”The whole weekend was an incredible experience. Besides being a great event, it does good things for the IWK children’s hospital; being able to spend time with them was an honor.  And the fans were extremely good to me. We had a great car and a great crew. I loved the tailgate party; it was fun to party with the fans.”

Dave & Mike Wray Teaming Up For 2019 Late Model Season at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The 2019 Late Model season at Stafford Speedway will see brothers Dave and Mike Wray racing as teammates for the first time in their racing careers.  Dave Wray raced Late Models at Stafford from 2000-2010 while Mike raced Limited Late Models in 2009, 2010, and 2012 before racing the past 4 seasons in the Late Model division.  Both brothers are looking forward to the new partnership with Mike driving the #42 DMW Graphics Chevrolet and Dave behind the wheel of the #44 DMW Graphics Chevrolet.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action with the Late Model division taking center stage with their extra distance Call Before You Dig Late Model 50 feature event on Back 2 SKool Blitz Night at Stafford Speedway. Paul Arute wired the field, leading all 50 laps to take down his first feature win of the 2018 season and the $1,811 purse that was boosted up to $1,961 with contingency bonuses from iRacing and New England Racing Fuel, Sunoco. The SK Modified® race came down to a wild finish that saw the top-2 involved in late race incidents that allowed Eric Berndt to emerge with his third win of the 2018 season in a hard fought duel with Michael Christopher, Jr. Teddy Hodgdon became a first time SK Light feature winner after winning Wild Thing Karts and Legend Cars feature events on Stafford’s mini-mile, Justin Bren won the Limited Late Model feature, and Nicole Chambrello won the Street Stock feature.
