Barre, VT – Barre’s Thunder Road celebrates the nation’s independence this Thursday, July 4 the best way it knows how – with a big night of racing. The Aubuchon Hardware Holiday Spectacular arrives just as the 2019 season is starting to get serious at the top of Quarry Hill.
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Kenny Tremont Jr. played the waiting game in the Charlie LaDuc Memorial 54 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, June 30, but when it came time to go, he went. The nine-time track champion was in 13th place at lap 29, but he turned up the wick and was in the lead just seven circuits later. Tremont’s victory highlighted the Durkee Insurance Agency “Vintage Racing Celebration” event presented by FairHavenMotors.com.
R&R Property Maintenance night wins go to Jordan Fornwalt in the Sportsman Modifieds, Will Hull in the USAC Dirt Midgets and Brain Chaffee in the Sportsman Coupes
It was a fast paced evening at Bear Ridge Speedway that concluded with a spectacular Fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July. It was Madness night for the Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds with over$11,000 on the line for the evening with Jordan Fornwalt the overall winner. Parity is the theme in the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes as Brian Chaffee took the win, making it nine different winners in nine weeks. Will Hull continues to thrill and rim rode to victory in the USAC Dirt Midgets and Ryan Christian took a hard fought Late Model victory. The Peanuts Auto 4-Cylinder event was postponed due to rain and will be made up as the first event of the night on July 6th.
Dragon, Scott Add to Thunder Road Legacies on CCV Night
Barre, VT – Two of the most decorated Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model drivers in Thunder Road history, Milton’s Scott Dragon and Middlesex’s Phil Scott, put another notch in their belts at Community College of Vermont Night on Thursday, June 27. Two-time “King of the Road” Dragon earned his second straight win in the Casella Waste Systems make-up feature to start the evening while Vermont Governor Scott captured his 31st career Late Model victory at the track in the nightcap.

The final event of June includes double the action for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models as they kick their championship battle into high gear.

The West Sand Lake, N.Y., driver copped his third topless win in four years on Sunday, June 23, highlighting an exciting Heritage Family Credit Union “Member Night” event that also included three first-time winners in support division action.
