Chris Donnelly in Sportsman Modifieds, Johnny Scarborough in the Sprint Cars of New England and Cody Gregoropoulos were the Big Winners on Wells River Savings Bank Night
The 2019 season continued with a big crowd on hand to view some exciting action on an unusually slick track on Wells River Savings Bank Night at Bear Ridge Speedway. Veteran Chris Donnelly came from deep in the pack to win the Sportsman Modified Main Event with Johnny “The Jet” Scarborough making a triumphant return to the Bear Ridge Speedway by winning the Sprint Cars of New England Feature. Rookie Cory Gregoropoulos held off all challengers to take his first career win in the Sportsman Coupes. Other winners were Ryan Christian in the Late Models, Bobby Bell in the 4-Cylinders and Paul Hodge in the Enduro.
The Green Mountain Gear-Heads Sprint Cars of New England returned to Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday June 22nd for another exciting night of racing and found the track very slick compared to groups’ last visit to the ¼ mile facility.
Barre, VT – Milton’s Scott Dragon bounced back in a big way after a rough start to the 2019 season by grabbing his seventh career Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model win at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union Night on Friday, June 21. The defending “King of the Road” took the lead from Wolcott’s Marcel J. Gravel on lap 29 of the 50-lap feature and was never headed en route to victory.

Thunder Road Announces Make-Up Dates for Casella Features
Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have officially set the dates to make up the remainder of the Casella Waste Systems Night card that was cut short by rain on June 14. Both the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and the Maplewood/Irving Late Models will have “double feature” nights in the coming weeks, adding bonus racing and excitement for Thunder Road fans.
2019 the 52nd season Twin State Ford night wins go to Kevin Chaffee in the Sportsman Modifieds, Melvin Pierson in the Sportsman Coupes and Will Hull in the USAC Dirt Midgets
It was Twin State Ford/New Digs for Dogs night and the racing once again produced an action packed night at Bear Ridge Speedway. As has been the case most of the season the weather was not ideal with some mid evening mist and sprinkles, being more of an annoyance than anything. Kevin Chaffee copped his third win of the season the Sportsman Modifieds with Will Hull topping the USAC Dirt Midgets. Melvin Pierson authored a dominating performance in the Sportsman Coupes with John Neddo tops in the Limited Late Models and Jason Porter picking up the victory in the 4-cylinder Class.
