WEST HAVEN, Vt. – The biggest dirt track race in New England has a new date: Labor Day weekend. The second annual $10,000-to-win Interstate All Battery Center Vermont 200 Weekend at Devil’s Bowl Speedway has been moved to the late-summer holiday on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, in order to better accommodate traveling fans and race teams – and to allow for an even bigger party atmosphere.

More drivers to benefit from new program at Vermont track
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has taken the next big step forward in its progression by announcing today that it will carry its own sanctioning and licensing for the 2019 season. The move will better position the half-mile Vermont dirt track for both the present and future and is the latest in a recent series of major improvements to both the physical property and infrastructure of the business.

Thirty-nine drivers nominated for Sportsmanship, Most Improved honors
RUTLAND, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has revealed a list of nominees on its voting ballot for the annual Sportsmanship and Most Improved Driver awards. Thirty-nine drivers from five divisions at the half-mile dirt track are eligible for the honors, with the winners to be announced at the Banquet of Champions on Saturday, January 26 at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vermont.

W Lebanon NH – Bear Ridge Speedway honored the champions from its 51st Season of dirt track stock car racing on Saturday December 1st. More than 300 drivers, crew members, sponsors, fans, and officials filled a sold-out banquet hall at the FireSide Inn W Lebanon NH for the gala, where more than $25,000 in prizes and point fund purses was awarded.

Thunder Road Announces 2019 Schedule of Events
Barre, VT – Thunder Road has officially released the 2019 racing schedule for the 60th season of competition at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement”. The 19-event season includes many events the track is known for along with new additions that promise even more thrills.
As has been tradition for much of the past two decades, Thunder Road will open its season with the 21st Community Bank N.A. 150 on Sunday, April 28. The Downtown Barre Car Show will be held the day before on Saturday, April 27 followed by an open practice for all divisions. (more…)
Dragon, Hodgdon, Martins Among Those Honored at 2018 Banquet of Champions
Barre, VT – Thunder Road Speedbowl honored the top performers of the 2018 season at the annual Banquet of Champions at the Barre Elks Club on Saturday, November 3. A packed house was on hand to commemorate the 59th season at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement”, which featured some of the greatest moments and accomplishments in the track’s history.
