William Wall Captures Second Late Model Title To Kick Off 57th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing
THOMPSON , Conn. — Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park hosted a busy day of racing on Saturday, Oct. 12 to kick off the 57th Annual Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing, after Mother Nature rained out the first night of on-track action Friday. With a combined twenty divisions set to race over 48 hours, the Sunoco World Series promised plenty of highlights to close the season.
Thompson, CT – Blainville, QC’s Jonathan Bouvrette earned his first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) win on U.S. soil at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 12 in the World Series 75. Bouvrette, a multi-time Serié ACT winner, grabbed the lead from Graniteville, VT’s John Donahue after an opening-lap incident and went wire-to-wire for the win at the 57th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. Meanwhile, Plainfield, NH’s Rich Dubeau clinched his first ACT championship with a 12th-place finish.
Granite State Pro Stock Series headed to Thompsons World Series Next
As has become tradition, The Granite State Pro Stock Series heads to the world series at Thompson Speedway on Friday evening October 11. A full card of racing will be headlined by the traveling pro stocks as the series contests a fifty lap feature following two rounds of qualifying. For the first time ever at the 5/8 mile oval, time trials will be held to determine heat race line ups in the Crazy Horse Racing race for the pole.
Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) wraps up the 2019 ACT Late Model Tour season this Saturday, October 12 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway. The World Series 75 is part of the annual Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing that brings 20 of the region’s best touring divisions and weekly series together for three days of great racing.
