The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is returning to the Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts for the 51st running of the Spring Green this Saturday.
The event also features the delayed start for the Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown at the Action Track of the East.
Seekonk Speedway has long played host to the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour with the Bay State oval hosting twenty-two ACT events since 1983. In all those great events, only once has a Massachusetts driver stood tall to win at the only Massachusetts oval with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, and that was in this very event last year.
Thursday Night Racing at Thunder Road kicks off with McGee CDJR of Barre Super Thursday, featuring the New England Supermodified Series (NESS).
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Super Thursday visit for the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) after the winged supermodified tour got its start at Thunder Road back in 2022. Since then, eventual champions Rob Summers and Dan Bowes have both taken the checkers along with two-time winner Jon McKennedy, Matt Swanson and Ben Seitz. Currently Bowes leads defending series champion Jeffrey Battle by just one point and will look to solidify that lead with his fourth Super win at Thunder Road.
Finally the Maplefields/Irving Late Models will get their 2026 King of the Road track championship season up and running on McGee CDJR of Barre night. Barre’s Jason Corliss (66VT) will be in the hunt for an unprecedented fifth Late Model championship at Thunder Road while he’s set to face plenty of opposition for the crown. It’s once again a question of whether the veterans like Corliss, Scott Dragon, Chris Pelkey and Marcel Gravel can hold off the young lions of Brandon Gray, Kaiden Fisher, Justin Prescott and Jesse Laquerre among the field. With 65 laps to start the season, it’ll be anyone’s guess who might stand tall to take the opening Thursday win.
After The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers and 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models have both had their time at the top of the heap, the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis take center stage this Saturday at White Mountain Motorsports Park. The popular four-cylinder class is ready to take down 50 laps on the highbanks in the longest distance of the season!
Jacob Roy holds a slim margin over Thunder Road invader Nate ‘Tater’ Brien after the Williamstown, Vermonter took down his first win of the season last Saturday. What started off as a just-for-fun pair of outings may turn into a championship run for Tater this week while rumor has it he won’t be the only one. Fellow Williamstown driver Kyle MacAskill has set a goal of thirty-races between Thunder Road and White Mountain this summer while the ACT Office has heard about several Thunder Road masters looking to make the trip over the Kancamagus Highway this Saturday for some extra-distance action.
