(Stafford Springs, CT)—Throughout his racing career, Holbrook, MA native Richard Savary has won modified races at tracks all across the Northeast; Thompson, Lee, Star, Monadnock, but one track that is missing from his victory list is Stafford. Savary will be looking to add to his career win list this Friday night and park his #99 Alloy Wheel Repair Chevrolet in NAPA Victory Lane when the Valenti Modified Racing Series makes its first of two visits during the 2018 season to Stafford.

Dave Etheridge Strong Contender For Stafford VMRS 80

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway will host the Valenti Modified Racing Series for the first of two races in 2018 Friday, May 18, and perhaps no driver is more excited for the race than Portland, CT native Dave Etheridge. The driver of the #34 Warner Turf Equipment / Belltown Motors Chevrolet is looking for his first top-10 finish of the 2018 season after finishes of 13th at Thompson and 19th at Waterford. Stafford has been a good track for Etheridge over the past two seasons with top-4 finishes in four of out of the last five VMRS races held at Stafford in 2016-2017.

Rowan Pennink Sets Sight On VMRS 80 at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the Valenti Modified Racing Series descends upon Stafford Motor Speedway next Friday, May 18 for the VMRS 80, Rowan Pennink will be looking to continue his red hot start to the season. Pennink, the 2013 VMRS Champion, opened the season with a win at Thompson and most recently a VMRS win at Waterford, making him 2 for 3 thus far in 2018 behind the wheel of Gary Casella’s #25 machine.

Russ Hersey of Swanzey, NH, drove to his second win of the season Sunday afternoon when he captured the ‘Advanced Gas Distributors’ 75- lap modified race sanctioned by the Valenti Modified Racing Series. The race was part of the 34th annual Oktoberfest race program at Lee USA Speedway, Lee. NH. The win was also the second for long-time car owner Warren Mordenti.

Valenti Modified Racing Series Set For Lee’s Oktoberfest

Canaan, NH. – The Valenti Modified Racing Series, dormant since Labor Day weekend, returns to action this holiday weekend when Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH, welcomes the series to its 34th annual ‘Oktoberfest’ of racing event. The open wheel modified tour will be making its 14th appearance at the traditional season ending program for the New Hampshire Speedway. The series will compete in a 75-lap feature race.

The 75-lap run is a break from what had become the norm at Lee. Twin 50-lap features were tried three years ago and proved to be successful. Both fans and competitors liked the concept. The thought of a 75-lap race was tried at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Maine in August. That format met with approval and was suggested for the Lee race given the amount of races on the schedule at the annual October event.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The Valenti Modified Racing Series made its second of two visits during the 2017 season to Stafford Motor Speedway for the 8th Annual VMRS 80. Taking the checkered flag was XXX

Dave Etheridge took the lead at the drop of the green flag with Rowan Pennink working his way around Dave Schneider to take second. Dan Meservey, Jr. was third with Keith Rocco fourth. Schneider slid back to fifth and he lost fifth on lap-4 to Carl Medeiros, Jr. Blake Barney was on the charge early in the race, checking into the top-5 in the first 10 laps of the race after starting 12th.
