“King of the Road” to be Crowned on Barre Granite Championship Day
Barre, VT – Barre’s Thunder Road is just days away from crowning its 2019 “King of the Road”. Barre Granite Association Championship Day this Sunday, September 22 will decide which drivers get to lay claim to track titles in Thunder Road’s landmark 60th season of competition.
Lots of racing and double points proved the saying true, “it’s not over till it’s over” in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds and the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes in the points battle for these two divisions. The way it started is the way it ended in the points battle for the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Three drivers earned their right into the Modified Growler with each feature seeing a new driver taking the checkers and a last chance qualifier for the non winners of the season allowing more driver to be qualified. Rained out events were what were on tap for the night. The first round of features were for rained out sponsor Dennis Preston Builder the second round of features were for rained out sponsor Sabil & Sons.

The Stove Depot Championship Finale had several unpredictable plot twists, and five drivers were officially crowned champions at an event that will be talked about all winter.
Barre, VT – The 57th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is already shaping up as one of the most star-studded auto racing events of the season in the Northeast. Numerous champions, former Milk Bowl winners, and rising standouts have already sent in their entries and will attempt to qualify for the “Toughest Short-Track Stock Car Race in North America” on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.
Dubeau Hits it Out of the Park for Labor Day Classic Win
Barre, VT – Plainfield, NH’s Rich Dubeau hit racing’s equivalent of a grand slam with a dominating victory in the 41st Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic 200 at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road on Saturday, September 14. Dubeau got the jump over hometown racer Nick Sweet on a lap-48 restart and never gave the lead up en route to his second victory of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) season.
Thunder Road Unveils Schedule for 57th Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend
Barre, VT – Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) have officially unveiled the schedule of events for 2019 Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend. A full weekend of racing and off-track fun is planned to cap the 60th season at Thunder Road. It all culminates on Sunday, September 29 with the 57th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank.
