RUTLAND, Vt. – The on-track action has ended, but the 2019 stock car racing season still has one more event remaining: The Banquet of Champions. Devil’s Bowl Speedway and the King of Dirt Racing Series (KOD) will come together to celebrate their respective champions, top drivers, and special award winners on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vermont.
Oxford, ME – Waterbury Center, VT’s Jason Woodard put the capstone on a dream 2019 season by winning the inaugural American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Flying Tiger Oxford Open at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, October 19. Woodard held off charges by Berlin, NH’s Cody LeBlanc and Graniteville, VT’s John Donahue to score his sixth Flying Tiger win of the season in the division’s first visit ever to the historic 3/8-mile oval.
Therrien Leaves No Doubt on Way to Vermont Milk Bowl Win
Barre, VT – Hinesburg’s Bobby Therrien was nearly unstoppable on his way to victory in the 57th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, September 29. The 2017 “King of the Road” bounced back from a heartbreaking runner-up finish in the 2018 edition of the historic event by winning it from the pole with an overall score of eight points.
Barre, VT – Hinesburg’s Bobby Therrien will lead the field to the green flag in the 57th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Sunday, September 29. Therrien posted a fast lap of 12.379 seconds around Thunder Road’s high banks to bag the $1,000 Pole Award on Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying Day.
Corliss, Sweet Both Gearing Up to Chase Another Milk Bowl Crown
