Barre, VT – Bennington, NH’s Matt Kimball made a statement in the North East Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) championship chase on Saturday, August 31 by taking the win at Barre’s Thunder Road as part of Coca-Cola Four Cylinder Saturday. Kimball, the NEMST point leader, put a crossover move on E. Thetford’s Brandon Gray following a lap-31 restart and cruised from there to the victory in the 50-lap main event.
Labor Day Classic Program Postponed After Accident
Barre, VT – The 41st Labor Day Classic at Barre’s Thunder Road has been postponed due to an on-track accident that occurred during qualifying. An announcement regarding the completion of the program will be made later this week.

Demers Gains Title Ground with Dominating Win on Jet Service-Accura Night
Barre, VT – Shelburne’s Trampas Demers made a big move in the 2019 “King of the Road” title chase by earning his second Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model win of the year on Thursday, August 22. Demers took the lead from Westford’s Darrell Morin early in the 50-lap feature and held off a late charge from Northfield’s Matt White for the win at Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night.
Thunder Road Announces Warrior Challenge for Labor Day Sunday
Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced the addition of the “Road Warrior Challenge” to the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 1. The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors will run a 50-lap, $500-to-win feature on Labor Day Sunday – the longest and highest-paying event in the division’s history.
