Fresh faces visit victory lane in support classes

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Kenny Tremont Jr. is accustomed to being up front at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, and the eight-time track champion has led the point standings at the Vermont track for most of the summer. This season has been different, though, and Tremont has not dominated like he has in past years, but he took a big step toward getting back on the right track with a victory in the Charlie LaDuc Memorial “Ol’ Reliable” 54 on Sunday, August 19.

Matt Lashua tops the Sportsman Modifieds, Tanner Siemons best in the Coupes

Sabil & Sons old timers night is always a reflective evening as the stars of yesteryear from various tracks are honored at intermission and with lots of old racecars also on hand it brings back lots of memories before kicking off the feature events for the evening. It was also announced that Bear Ridge Speedway Owner/Promoter CV “Butch” Elms will be inducted into the New England Antique Races (NEAR) Hall of Fame later this year.

The 16-year-old withstood everything the field had to offer for his first victory on the high banks while Milton’s Scott Dragon gained the upper hand in the “King of the Road” chase.

Scarborough continues hot streak in Sportsman Modifieds

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Bobby Hackel and Danny Douville rocked the house at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, August 12, as the Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) tour invaded Community College of Vermont Night for a special Twin 20s event that produced a pair of exciting finishes. Meanwhile, in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action, Joey Scarborough continued his hot streak and Brent Warren, Joey Trudeau, Johnny Bruno, and Jessica Moquin also visited victory lane.
