“King of the Road” Battle Too Close to Call Entering WDEV/Calkins Night

Barre, VT – The 2018 “King of the Road” fight turns up a notch this Thursday, August 2 at WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night. With the summer racing season making the turn to the homestretch, every lap will count in the quest for the Thunder Road track championship.

Milton’s Scott Dragon, South Burlington’s Trampas Demers, and Barre’s Jason Corliss and Cody Blake are locked in one of the tightest multi-way championship battles the Barre high banks have seen in years. The four Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model titans have combined for six victories this season, finding their way to the front of the pack nearly every week.

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Rising dirt Modified racing star Demetrios Drellos added a big win to his growing résumé on Sunday, July 29, taking the 7th annual “C.J. Richards Memorial” race presented by Carrara Masonry & Concrete at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The Queensbury, N.Y., youngster battled all race long before grabbing the $3,000 victory for the King of Dirt Racing (KOD) Small Block 358 Modified Series.

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials announced today the track will be hosting Amanda Pelkey at Cody Chevrolet Night on Thursday, August 9. Pelkey recently played in the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games for Team USA where she became a gold medalist.
