Dragon Goes Back-to-Back for Mid-Season Triumph
Barre, VT – Milton’s Scott Dragon took a big step in his drive for a second “King of the Road” crown by taking the Times Argus Mid-Season Championships on Thursday, July 26. Dragon took full advantage of a caution in the late stages of the event to grab the lead with 16 laps remaining in the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model feature and cruise to his second straight win on the Barre high banks.

Barre, VT – The most important event of the summer for Thunder Road competitors goes to post this Thursday, July 26 at 7:00pm. The Times Argus Mid-Season Championships will see all four divisions compete in added-distance features, and with double points on the line, countless title hopes likely hang in the balance.

It was another action packed night of racing at Bear Ridge Speedway on Interstate Batteries/JTB Towing and Recovery Night that saw all repeat winners along with a Triple Crown winner in the Sportsman Coupes.

Tim Brick to Perform at Barre Pro Rodeo
Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials announced today that country artist Tim Brick has been added to the schedule of events at the Barre Pro Rodeo. The Tim Brick Band will perform at the track on Saturday, October 6 at 6:00pm following the conclusion of the day’s Rawhide Rodeo events.

Dragon Roars Again Under Bright Lights of Governor’s Cup
Barre, VT – Milton’s Scott Dragon was just too tough to top on Thursday, July 19 at Barre’s Thunder Road, taking his second VP Racing Fuels Vermont Governor’s Cup win in the past three seasons. With a big crowd cheering him on and the track’s new lighting system showing the way, Dragon took the lead for good from South Burlington’s Trampas Demers on lap 28 and sailed away to the win in the 150-lap event.

Vermont Late Model Stars Ready to Take Home Governor’s Cup
Barre, VT – This Thursday, July 19, the Vermont Governor’s Cup will be awarded for the 39th time in its storied history. The 150-lap event presented by VP Racing Fuels is the biggest event of the summer for Thunder Road’s Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models and a sought-after prize for drivers throughout the state and region.
