Chaffee Flies to First Devil’s Bowl Speedway Victory on Wild Night
Hot streaks continue for support division winners
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – The moon might not have been full on Sunday, July 8 over Devil’s Bowl Speedway, but the drivers were in rare form. Kevin Chaffee of Bradford, Vt., stood the tallest at the end of the wild, crash-filled “Hometown Heroes” event with his first-ever Devil’s Bowl win in hand, while other drivers to make it out of the carnage and win races included Joey Roberts, Chris Murray, Jason Porter, Brandon Emerson, and Diane Porter.

Dennis Preston Builders Mid-Season Championship Night found the action hot and heavy in the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series with Double Points on the line making for another exciting evening of racing at Bear Ridge Speedway.
The Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds saw Ricky Sanvillle jump to the lead and maintain it through the halfway point when Richie Simmons took command and led the rest of the way to take the win. Kevin Chaffee took second from Sanville just a lap after Simmons took the lead and went on to finish second. Ricky Sanville was a solid third as the lead trio had quite a distance on fourth place finisher Mike Dunn. Current Points leader Robert Tucker was fifth.

Blake, First-Time Winners Reign on Renewable Energies Night
Barre, VT – Hometown racer Cody Blake made his post-holiday celebration count by taking his second Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model win of the season at Renewable Energies Night on Thursday, July 5. Blake motored to the lead halfway through the 50-lap feature and never looked back on a night where four other main events on the Thunder Road high banks saw first-time winners.

Tanner and Pierson Win Big Before Packed House at Devil’s Bowl Firecracker
Warren gets first Limited win; three drivers repeat
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Matt Tanner and Adam Pierson shared top billing in a wild Independence Day event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Tuesday, July 3. Racing before a monster grandstand crowd, Tanner earned his first Devil’s Bowl win by beating the visiting Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) tour, and Pierson took his first-ever NASCAR Whelen All-American Series win in the Central Vermont Motorcycles Sportsman Modified division.

Moodie is “Spectacular” for Win at Aubuchon Holiday Event
Barre, VT – Wolcott’s Brendan Moodie joined the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model first-time winner’s club in the by taking the Aubuchon Hardware Holiday Spectacular on Tuesday, July 3 in a barnburner. By doing so, the winningest Flying Tiger driver in Thunder Road history added a Late Model victory to his résumé in his rookie year in the division.
