ISMA Season Opener at Monadnock Speedway
Winchester, NH: This past Saturday, Monadnock Speedway’s race event was cancelled due to rain. This Saturday (May 19) the ISMA Supermodifieds will kick off their 2018 season in the Genden Auto Parts ISMA 75 presented by T-Bird Mini Mart. It will be the first time in roughly 40 years that the Supermodifieds have raced on the quarter mile high banked oval of Monadnock Speedway. Legendary driver, Bentley Warren, will be the Grand Marshall of the event.
The special event will also include all the weekly divisions of Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Lightning Stocks and Young Guns. The race venue will start at 4PM with the ISMA Supermodifieds taking to the track for time trials. The competitor with fastest time set in time trials will receive an extra $1000 sponsored by Bentley’s Saloon. Shea’s Concrete will also sponsor a special award giving bonus money to the half way lap leader in the feature event.
The main gate will open at 1PM. Tickets on the day of the event are $25 for Adults, $20 For Seniors & College Students, $15 for Ages 11-18 and Children 10 & Under are $5. Advanced Tickets are available online at the speedway’s webpage (www.monadnockspeedway.com) for reserved and general seating at a discount. A rain date, if needed, has been set for Sunday (May 20) at 2PM.
