DATE ANNOUNCED FOR 2020 IWK 250

JAMES RIVER, NS (November 18, 2019) – The 2020 edition of the IWK 250 is set for July 18. For the 14th-straight year, the highly-anticipated event will be presented by Sydney businessman Steve Lewis as an awareness and fundraising endeavour for the IWK Foundation. Since  2007, the IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis has raised over $481,000.00 for the Foundation.

“We’re happy to get the date out there so fans can circle it on their calendars,” said Paul McLean, General Manager for Riverside International Speedway. “We know folks look forward to this event and even book vacation plans around it so we hope it’s a help for them to know the date this far in advance. And we are most appreciative for Steve’s continued support and the ongoing affiliation with the IWK.”

MARITIME MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME TO HOST OPEN HOUSE NOVEMBER 15

PETITCODIAC, NB (October 22, 2019) – The management for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHF) is pleased to host an Open House at its complex in Petitcodiac on November 15 in celebration of the facility’s 10th-anniversary.

While the organization was formed in 2005, it was 2009 before they had an “official” home at the complex, built for them with proceeds from government funding, donations, and fundraising. The complex houses the MMHF museum, archives, administration office, and a large multi-purpose room used for private and community gatherings.

BUTCHER WINS ATLANTIC OLIVER TIRE 200; BLENKHORN TAKES 2019 SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP

(Halifax, NS, September 28, 2019) – Cole Butcher (Hantsport, NS) won his fourth race of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season in the Atlantic Oliver Tire 200 tonight at Scotia Speedworld. In a wild scramble on a final restart with four laps to go, Russell Smith Jr. (Lakeside, NS) and Chris Hughes (Brackley Beach, PE) picked up their first podium finishes of the season taking second and third, respectively.

(Halifax, NS – September 25, 2019) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will close out another sensational season this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld with the Atlantic Oliver Tire 200. After 11 events in four cities it all comes down to the final 200 laps to decide who will be crowned the 2019 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Champion – and who will cash the $10,000.00 champions cheque! Championship action gets underway 4:00pm with Atlantic Tiltload heat races. Grandstand gates will open at 1:00 PM.

COLE BUTCHER WINS LUCAS OIL 150 AT RIVERSIDE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY 

(Antigonish, NS, September 14, 2019) – Cole Butcher (Hantsport, NS) picked up his third victory of the 2019 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season by winning the Lucas Oil 150 at Riverside International Speedway. Championship contenders Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) and Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) started the race mid-pack but rallied to finish second and third respectively. Tonight’s result unofficially see Blenkhorn with a 22 point advantage over Hicken heading into the Season Finale Atlantic Oliver Tire 200 set for September 28th at Scotia Speedworld. Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) finished fourth while Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS) finished in fifth spot on his Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour debut.

JAMES RIVER, NS (September 10, 2019) – Management at Riverside International Speedway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour are ready to make a second attempt this Saturday at the event originally scheduled for the James River track last Saturday, but postponed due to Hurricane Dorian. While most of the event details remain as they were, some information is updated (noted in bold).
