Championship night is at the New-London Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT is this Saturday, October 20th. It is shaping up to be one of our most exciting races of the season. The final race will be a traditional GSPSS format of 100 laps at with time trials to set heat placement.
Devin O’Connell of nearby Madison, CT must finish 14th or better to capture the 2018 series title if second in points Joey Doiron of Berwick, ME [30 points behind] wins the race. All eyes will be focused on the #43 of O’Connell and the #73 of Doiron as not only are they the championship contenders, earlier in the season they finished on the top two steps of the Podium for the Triple 35’s with Doiron the overall victor and O’Connell winner of the final segment.

WATERFORD —The night started with a Peter Bennett Legends victory sand ended with a Bennett victory.

Four champions crowned at Wild & Wacky Wednesday Banquet
WATERFORD — An overflow crowd saw Peter Bennett, Eddie Loomis, Dave Yardley and Maddie Harkin make New London-Waterford Speedbowl history Wednesday — they officially joined the list of track champions.
Bennett was crowned Legends champ, Loomis became the X-Car champion, Yardley was named the Super X-car champ and Harkin captured the championship in the Bandolero division. They received their championship accolades at the annual Wild & Wacky Wednesday banquet that took place before a large crowd Wednesday at the Speedbowl. (more…)

WATERFORD — Even though he’s just 15-years old, Andrew Molleur has chalked up 10 years of experience in motor sports. He says his thrilling win in Saturday’s Bubby Brouwer Memorial SK Lite 49 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl was his biggest victory yet.
“This is No. 1,” Molleur said after he held off Keith Caruso and John O’Sullivan to claim a win in the Brouwer Memorial, worth more than $1,500. The race was sponsored by Race Choice. “We weren’t sure if we were going to run this race, but now we’re glad we did. To win a race named after someone like Bubby Brouwer, who did so much at the Speedbow, is an amazing accomplishment.” (more…)
