Lee, NH – The annual Advanced Gas Distributors Oktoberfest event attracted race teams from all over New England for the traditional season-ending event at New Hampshire’s Center of Speed over the weekend, featuring ten divisions of racing action on the fast 3/8ths mile oval.
Saturday’s calendar featured qualifying for all ten divisions, with the Pure Stock main one of two run as part of the day one program. Claremont’s Zach Lyn came home as the big winner in that one, outrunning a full 24-car field to post the win.
Former Lee USA Pure Stock champion Jesse Tellier came on strong late in the race to checker second aboard the Rob Carleton entry, with perennial Oktoberfest contender Matt Gauffin overcoming some mid-race issues to round out the podium in third with his beautifully prepared Saab. Chris Fultz and Kyle Currier rounded out the top five finishers.

Eddie MacDonald piloted the EXIT Realty/Hancock Electric Late Model Chevy to a third place finish in the DAV Fall Classic at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday, then raced to a determined seventh place run in the EXIT Realty/Grimm Construction Pro Stock Chevy in the final feature of the night. The team then headed to Eddie Mac’s family track, Lee USA Speedway for Sunday’s Pro Stock feature in the annual Oktoberfest to close out the racing season at the Lee, N.H. facility.
With the team unable to participate in the Friday practice session at Seekonk due to scheduling conflicts, the crew arrived Saturday morning prepping both the late model and the pro stock for the morning practice. Eddie Mac started third in the first of three pro stock 12 lap heats to score a third place finish placing him in the seventh slot in the feature. Eddie Mac drew the fourth slot in the third late model 12 lap heat then spent the rest of the time stuck on the outside with the preferred lane on the bottom to finish fifth. Valenti Modified Racing Series Set For Lee’s Oktoberfest
Canaan, NH. – The Valenti Modified Racing Series, dormant since Labor Day weekend, returns to action this holiday weekend when Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH, welcomes the series to its 34th annual ‘Oktoberfest’ of racing event. The open wheel modified tour will be making its 14th appearance at the traditional season ending program for the New Hampshire Speedway. The series will compete in a 75-lap feature race.
The 75-lap run is a break from what had become the norm at Lee. Twin 50-lap features were tried three years ago and proved to be successful. Both fans and competitors liked the concept. The thought of a 75-lap race was tried at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Maine in August. That format met with approval and was suggested for the Lee race given the amount of races on the schedule at the annual October event.
