Barre, VT – Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, New Hampshire came out on top in a thrilling finish to Sunday afternoon’s Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model race at Thunder Road International Speedbowl.

Polewarczyk, no stranger to Late Model success on the high-banked, quarter-mile oval, dedicated his first Super Late Model win to the late Tom Curley, ACT President and former co-owner of the Green Mountain State’s premiere racetrack, who Polewarczyk called instrumental to the development of his stock car racing career.

Barre, VT – Hometown driver Cody Blake reserved a spot alongside his legendary father on one of Thunder Road’s granite monuments on Sunday, May 27 with a thrilling win in the 56th Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic 100. Blake took the lead from 2016 “King of the Road” Scott Dragon of Milton on a lap-86 restart before holding off Dragon and Shelburne’s Trampas Demers in the closing laps for his fourth career Maplewood/Irving Late Model triumph.

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 23) – A busy Memorial Day weekend for short track racing fans all along the East Coast is on tap as the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) gets set to embark on another memorable doubleheader of action. Southeast race fans will get a treat on Friday night in the Old Glory 125 at Concord Speedway when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models and Southern Modified Racing Series (SMRS) Tour Mods compete together in a rare doubleheader. While New Englanders will get to see the Northeast’s best Super Late Models tackle the high banks of Thunder Road Sunday afternoon in the 56th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic 150.

Up this week, Saturday May 26th is R&M Automotive night with the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, the C.A. Miller Inc Limited Late Models and the Weglarz Four Cylinders ready to do battle. Joining the regular 99Rock weekly racing series will be the Sprint Cars of New England and a 4/6 Cylinder Enduro. It is also the annual night where Bear Ridge Speedway Remembers lost Friends.
