DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR MARITIME MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS

PETITCODIAC, NB (March 5, 2019) – The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHF) annual nomination process is well underway with an April 1 deadline for submissions. Anyone can make a nomination among several different genres of motorsports. The process is simple and can be done online or by printing and mailing the nomination form.

All inductees into the MMHF have been nominated by someone (vs an in-house committee) which makes being included in the hallowed hall even that much more special.

Quebec Racers Hope to Make their Presence Felt at Richmond

American Canadian Tour

Waterbury, VT – The inaugural American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Commonwealth Classic 65 at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway on Saturday, March 30 is shaping up to be an international showcase for ACT Late Model racing. Of the 32 drivers who have officially entered the $5,000-to-win event, eight of them hail from the Canadian province of Quebec. This means a quarter of the current field will travel as many as 14 hours each way and cross country borders to race at the historic track.

KENNY WALLACE RETURNING TO RIVERSIDE TO DEFEND IWK 250 TITLE

JAMES RIVER, NS (February 19, 2019) – Kenny Wallace, former NASCAR driver and television broadcaster, is returning to Riverside International Speedway on July 20 for the IWK 250 Presented by Steve Lewis to defend his win last year.

“I had the time of my life last year,” said Wallace.”The whole weekend was an incredible experience. Besides being a great event, it does good things for the IWK children’s hospital; being able to spend time with them was an honor.  And the fans were extremely good to me. We had a great car and a great crew. I loved the tailgate party; it was fun to party with the fans.”

ACT to Sanction Jean-Paul Cabana 125 at Riverside Ste-Croix

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced that it will sanction the Jean-Paul Cabana 125 at Quebec’s Circuit Riverside Speedway Ste-Croix on Sunday, June 2. The non-point, $5,000 (CAD)-to-win event will be the first time ACT has visited the 5/8-mile oval since 2015.

The event for ACT-type Late Models has been named in honor of Quebec racing legend Jean-Paul Cabana, whose storied career included 25 combined wins on the ACT Pro Stock Tour and NASCAR North Tour. It is being promoted by Martin Roy, who is also the promoter of Vallée-Jct., QC’s Autodrome Chaudiere.
