Walpole NH – In a joint announcement today the Granite State Pro Stock Series and the New Hampshire Short Track Racing Association will present the NHSTRA back of the pack challenge. What this will be is for what ever driver sets fast time in the Crazy Horse Race for the pole will have a option to start last. If the driver excepts the Challenge he will be rewarded with a extra $1000.00 if he wins the main event. GSPSS President Mike Parks stated “this is just a little something to add some more excitement to our program for the fans, We will get the driver on the PA try to get them in front of the crowd to get them more involved with the process and put the driver on the spot! Drivers have a little ego so when there in front of the crowd and we all know the crowd will want them to take the challenge we will see how big that ego is!” The GSPSS gets there season under way this Friday May 3rd at the Claremont Motorsports Park. Monadnock Speedway Has A New Owner For 2019 Season Winchester, NH. – It was three years ago that long-time local racer and Nashua, New Hampshire businessman Norman Wrenn Jr contemplated buying Monadnock Speedway, the quarter-mile high-banked race facility, based in Winchester, New Hampshire, but the time wasn’t right for everyone involved until this past spring.
Winchester, NH: Monadnock Speedway opened for the last NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event of the 2018 season on a gorgeous last day of summer and the last event under the current ownership. Numerous drivers and fans took time to thank Larry Cirillo and Fred Pafumi for their years of dedication to running an amazing racetrack. All of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division would be in action and were joined by the Young Guns, Lightning Stocks, NEMA and NEMA Lites plus Spectator Races, the annual Kids Big Wheel Race, and the Champions Go-Kart race. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Divisions and the Lightning Stocks crowned their Track Champions; Matt Gauffin #68 (Lightning Stocks), Richard Vincent #4 (Thunder Stocks), Matthew Kimball #50x (Mini Stocks), Tyler Leary #11x (Super Stocks), and Keith Carzello #8 (Sportsman Modifieds). Winchester, NH: Monadnock Speedway held a full night of racing action this past Saturday for the JBH 100 featuring the Granite State Pro Stock Series with Devin O’Connell taking down the victory. The speedway was also host to all the weekly divisions along with the last-minute addition of the NEMA and NEMA Lites. Repeat winners in the weekly divisions included Ben Byrne (Sportsman Modifieds), Solomon Brow (Super Stocks), Matt Kimball (Mini Stocks), Gordon Farnum (Lightning Stocks) and Chris Phelps (Young Guns). Chase Curtis took down his first career victory in the Thunder Stocks. Jim Chamber took the win for NEMA as did Seth Carlson in the NEMA Lites. (more…)
NEAR and Pro-4 Modifieds pay a visit; while Maher Takes the Win in the Mini Stock Showdown

Winchester, NH – Monadnock Speedway was back in action this time on a cool fall like day! All division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series was in action and where joined by the Young Guns and Lightning Stocks. In addition The Pro-4 Modifieds and the New England Antique Racers or NEAR also paid the speedway a visit. Matt Kimball in the #50 captured his first Sportsman Modified win of the season. Nathan Wenzel (Young Guns), Matthew Gauffin (Lightning Stocks), Louis Maher (Mini Stocks), Richard Vincent (Thunder Stocks), and Solomon Brow (Super Stocks) all returned to victory lane. NEAR had 2 divisions in action the Sportsman division was won by Joe Keefner and the Modified division was won by Billy Kemp. The Pro-4 Modifieds also had 2 divisions in action with TJ Peters winning the Light division and Doug Meservey Jr. winning the other. (more…)
Monahan Takes Advantage of Extra Distance to Return to Victory Lane

Winchester, NH: The third time was the charm; as the fan appreciation track party finally happened. On a beautiful day for racing action fans took the opportunity to see the cars and meet the stars. All weekly divisions of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series plus Lightning Stocks and Young Guns were on the schedule for the evening with extra money and an extended distance for the Sportsman Modifieds. All of the weekly winners were repeat winners; Joel Monahan (Sportsman Modifieds), Tyler Leary (Super Stocks), Matt Kimball (Mini Stocks), Ed Lofland (Thunder Stocks), Gordon Farnum (Lightning Stocks) and Sammy Silva (Young Guns).
