LYMAN, Maine (May 31, 2019) — With a disappointing outing at Star Speedway on May 11 now behind them, Alan Tardiff and his TMR Racing team have been busy in the shop preparing for the upcoming Pro All Stars Series (PASS) 150 on Sunday, June 2, at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Emotions ran high and patience was tested in the Little Webb’s Tire & Fuel 150 at Star. Tardiff went from having a fast car in qualifying to a disappointing 19th-place finish after getting caught up in a crash on lap 46.

DJ Shaw triumphant in PASS North Super Late Model action at Star Speedway

Epping, NH – Reigning Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model Champion DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire drove to his second win of the season Saturday night in a wild Little Webb’s Tire & Fuel 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.

Longtime Star Speedway competitor Joe Squeglia of Derry, New Hampshire, who led a healthy chunk of the 150-lap race, rebounded from a couple of mid-race skirmishes to earn runner-up honors.  Nick Sweet of Barre, Vermont posted an impressive third-place finish after lining up for the race in 20th position.

NAPLES, ME (May 9) – After a well-earned week off, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models return to action this Saturday night at New Hampshire’s Star Speedway.  The tight quarter-mile located in the Granite State made its name by hosting Super Modifieds, this weekend it will be PASS Super Late Models headlining in the Little Webb’s Tire & Fuel 150.

Walpole NH – In a joint announcement today the Granite State Pro Stock Series and the New Hampshire Short Track Racing Association will present the NHSTRA back of the pack challenge. What this will be is for what ever driver sets fast time in the Crazy Horse Race for the pole will have a option to start last. If the driver excepts the Challenge he will be rewarded with a extra $1000.00 if he wins the main event. GSPSS President Mike Parks stated “this is just a little something to add some more excitement to our program for the fans, We will get the driver on the PA try to get them in front of the crowd to get them more involved with the process and put the driver on the spot!  Drivers have a little ego so when there in front of the crowd and we all know the crowd will want them to take the challenge we will see how big that ego is!”  The GSPSS gets there season under way this Friday May 3rd at the Claremont Motorsports Park. Renfrew Rebounds to take 1st GSPSS Victory at the Star Vlassic!

The Nocella Paving 100 at the 53rd annual Star Classic at Star Speedway in Epping, NH was an event that will be remembered for quite some time. 15 years young from Candia, NH local favorite Jimmy Renfrew Jr won his first pro stock race at his beloved home track. The ride into victory lane wasn’t without peril though, as on lap 30, Renfrew took a ride deep into the turn two woods and had to be assisted back to the racing surface by speedway services. “I thought it was over from there” Renfrew said. “I worked my way back up into the top five and under caution with 20 to go, I believed we might have a shot.” Soon after taking the checkered flag, Renfrew drove into victory lane and was swamped immediately by family, friends, and loyal fans.
