ACT Announces New England Late Model Challenge Cup for Weekly Racers
Waterbury, VT – Weekly Late Model racers around the Northeast will have the opportunity to race for even more during the 2020 season. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced the inaugural New England Late Model Challenge Cup (NELMCC) presented by American Racer to reward the top participating drivers around the region.
Throughout 2020, registered Late Model drivers will earn points towards the NELMCC presented by American Racer based on their performance at participating tracks. A separate point fund has been posted with $3,000 guaranteed to the Challenge Cup champion and additional payouts for other top finishers.

Thunder Road Announces 2020 Racing Schedule
Barre, VT – Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl has officially unveiled its schedule of events for the 2020 racing season. The 19-event schedule goes from early May until early October and includes the 1,000th event in the history of the high banks.
The 2020 season opens on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. Saturday features the annual Downtown Barre Car Show followed by open practice for all divisions. The first green flag flies Sunday at 1:30pm for the 22nd annual Community Bank N.A. 150 featuring the ACT Late Model Tour.

Barre, VT – Next August, fans and racers will get the chance to experience Thunder Road in a whole new way. Track officials have announced that the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will be coming to Thunder Road for the first time on Sunday, August 9, 2020, giving participants the opportunity to circle the high banks in a NASCAR-style stock car.

Barre, VT – The best drivers and people of Thunder Road’s 60th season were honored at the 2019 Thunder Road Banquet of Champions on Saturday, November 16. Nearly 300 racers, family members, crew members, and officials gathered at the Barre Elks Lodge of Barre, VT to celebrate the past season and start looking forward to 2020.

Oxford, ME – Waterbury Center, VT’s Jason Woodard put the capstone on a dream 2019 season by winning the inaugural American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Flying Tiger Oxford Open at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, October 19. Woodard held off charges by Berlin, NH’s Cody LeBlanc and Graniteville, VT’s John Donahue to score his sixth Flying Tiger win of the season in the division’s first visit ever to the historic 3/8-mile oval.
