BRADFORD, VT – Bear Ridge Speedway Vermont’s Fastest Dirt Track, and the only DIRTcar Sanctioned track in New England seeing registrations higher than it has been in years, setting up the Ridge to be the best bang for your buck family entertainment once again for the 2014 racing season.

Opening night, May 3rd, the 47 consecutive season opener sponsored by KDD NAPA of Bradford, is gearing up to be the first of your weekly must see events this summer. Each of the six 99ROCK wfrd weekly racing series will be competing with double features for their double points, setting the stage for some edge of your seat racing excitement.

The DIRTcar sanctioned Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds will surely offer fans weekly edge of your seat racing as the best of the best such as Kevin Chaffee, Jason Gray, Gary Siemons, and Bob Shepard scheduled to run for the championship and more do battle to dethrone the 2013 DIRTcar sanctioned Bond Auto Sportsman Modified Champion Chris Donnelly. With new drivers signing up and some saying they will not be competing on a weekly basis, thus ineligible for the championship, this could be the year for a brand new champ at the Ridge! Will this be the year Kevin Chaffee is able to go from bridgesmaid to bride? Be there weekly to see!

The Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes are set to see record numbers this week, with drivers returning having taken a year or two off, and new drivers signing up for this signature Ridge division. Terry Williams will not be returning in the Sportsman Coupes so this division is also poised to see a new champion at the end of the day.

The Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models are gearing up to offer the biggest increase in numbers for the 2014 season, which means this division will be providing yet another division of edge of your seat racing. The 2013 champ Jason Giguere will be returning to defend his title, and with increased counts he have to be on top of his game if he hopes to claim the crown again. Brandon Gray, James Fadden and new coming Ryan Christian will be sure to give him a strong run for his money.

The Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours will see a return to the basics as these 4 cyclinder machines will hit the track as stock machines not the morfed contraptions they had become. This will make for better competition and will surely make for some great racing in 2014.

The KDD NAPA of Bradford Ridge Runner Hornets are showing steady numbers as well, so it is expected to see packed pits on a weekly basis in 2014 at the Ridge.

The stage will be set opening night for all of this excitement, so be sure to mark your calendar to be a part of this exciting night of racing, at Vermont’s FASTEST dirt track! Master Card and Visa will again be accepted at the Ridge, which continues to be the best source of inexpensive high quality entertainment for families. The price of a general admission ticket will remain the same as it has over the past decade with adults at(ages 17 to 61) at $10.00 a person. Teens 12 to 16 and seniors 62 and older at $8.00 a person, and children 11 and under $2.00.

Season passes are available for general admission. Adults is $160.00, Seniors and Teens $130.00.
