speedway 95ZACH AUDET DOUBLES UP IN MODIFIED ENDUROS AT 95

Skowhegan’s Zach Audet won both ends of the Modified Enduro double header at Speedway 95 Wednesday night, making it three in a row since joining the field at mid-season. The first feature was a make up for last week’s rain-out, and Audet crossed the finish line ahead of point’s leader Danielle Beale, who finished in second. Third place went to Dustin Lancaster of Milo, with Hermon’s Rhonda Crain in fourth. Fifth spot went to Scott Bonney of Stetson. In the second 20 lapper, Audet started eighth in the field and took the lead on the third lap, finishing in the top spot again with Dustin Lancaster in second. Third went to Dennis Burns of Carmel, with Danielle Beale in fourth. Rhonda Crain finished fifth in the second event.

Steve Kimball of Holden made it two in a row in the RoadRunner division when he came from the 41st starting position to wrestle the lead away from pole sitter Sam Betts of Bradley on lap 17, and go on to post his second straight win. Skowhegan’s Kris Matchett also passed Betts in the closing laps to finish second, with Betts finishing third. Fourth went to Newburgh’s Dustan Durrell, with Donny Silva of Hudson finishing fifth.

Marcus Dunn of Newburgh added to his win total in the Stars of Tomorrow by grabbing the lead on lap 5 of the 20 lap feature and holding it through two restarts to take the win. Scott Hunt Jr. of Glenburn finished second, with last week’s winner Jordan Kimball of Holden taking third. Fourth went to Cody Farnsworth of Orono with Kolby Moore of Frankfort finishing fifth.

The night’s stunt race was a 10 lap Jack and Jill race, where a team of a male and female driver swap driving duties every two laps, and each swap is made with both drivers still in the car. The winners were the team of Anthony and April Miles from Winterport. In second at the finish were Ryan and Anara Kaczmarek of Albion, and the mother/son team of Henry Boudreau and Deirdre Albert of Winterport finished third.
