Seekonk Ma. – For the first time ever, the D. Anthony Vandetti Fall Classic at Seekonk Speedway will be a Granite State Pro Stock Series sanctioned event. This annual year-end race has been held since 1992 and features Pro Stocks headlining what is sure to be a fantastic afternoon of racing.
As race day approaches, excitement is building for both Seekonk regulars as well as GSPSS teams and staff. Series president Mike Parks stated, “We are honored to have been asked to be a part of this great event. We look forward to teaming up with the staff and teams from this historic race track and put on a great show”.
Ray Christian III wins the Pro Stock portion of the Star Classic in the Vynorius Pile Driving 100
It was all fenders all the time on opening night of the 54th annual Star Classic and Ray Christian III was the man to beat. Every time the Granite State Pro Stock Series was on the track it was the black 93 at the top of the charts and leading the way to the checkers. Joey Doiron did all he could but wound up a disappointing second and Jimmy Renfrew, Jr. came up two spots short from another win at his home track.
Claremont NH – DJ Shaw continued his mastery of Claremont Speedway going two for two in the Rocky Ridge 150. The Conway NH driver took home the richest purse of the season for the Granite State Pro Stock Series for the second year in a row.
The evening’s competition began with the Crazy Horse Racing race for the pole and once again it was Joey Doiron setting fast time. Doiron has become the master of time trialing in 2019 and when asked how, he said “we found a couple of things we were doing wrong so we changed what we do”. “The big thing is what we do with our tires before time trials” he added.
After a long summer break, The Granite State Pro Stock Series gets back to action with one of its biggest events of the season. The JBH 150, at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester NH, is the series annual tribute to one of its founders, John “Boy” Hoyt.
Hudson’s Own Joey “Pole” goes to GSPSS Victory Lane At Hudson Speedway
Home town hot shoe Joey Polewarcyk lead the majority of the 2019 Gate City Classic to take down the win. Cory Casagrande returned to the series and established the track record and the point leader continued his string of consistency in 2019.
Gate City Classic up next for GSPSS at Hudson Int’l Speedway
The next stop for the Granite State Pro Stock Series will be the newly renovated Hudson Int’l Speedway in Hudson NH. Ben Bosowski and his team started multiple renovation projects in the fall of 2018 and now all of that is paying off with the latest rendition of the Gate City Classic.
