Late in the 2018 Racing season, Jake Matheson announced that he would be making his full sized race car debut with the Granite State Pro Stock Series. His family owned team had purchased a car from eventual series champion and friend Devin O’Connell and were in the process of getting it ready for 2019.
On a picture perfect day for racing it was Jeremy Davis once again standing in victory lane at Speedway 51. A strong field of cars was on hand but after an exciting 100 lap main event, no one was better than Davis.
First on the days schedule was time trials and the Crazy Horse Racing race for the pole. This being the first race at the Groveton NH speed plant in the GSPSS time trial era, it was time for a new track record. After all the competitors had their shot at the clock, the driver who holds the first Speedway 51 GSPSS track record is Joey Doirin with a time of 12.564 seconds.

On Sat May 25 the Granite State Pro Stock Series Invaded the Monadnock Speedway and for the third time at the Swanzey bull ring it was Mike O’Sullivan in victory lane.
O’Sullivan started the day the best way possible, by eclipsing the track record by a full tenth of a second in the Crazy Horse Racing race for the pole. He was rewarded with a prize of $125.00 and the right to start on the pole for heat race #1.
