Austin Theriault Invited To
New Hampshire Motor Speedway Test

FORT KENT, Maine — Sixteen-year-old Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, was one of 40 Late Model drivers invited by the American-Canadian Tour to test at New Hampshire Motor Speedway next month, the sanctioning body announced today. Each driver will participate in one full day of testing during the session on Aug. 17-18 in advance of the second annual ACT Invitational at the track on Sept. 18.

The test session also serves as an approval process for being invited to join the 43-car starting field in the 60-lap event. The ACT Rookie of the Year candidate was an at-large invite to the test.

Theriault has never raced at New Hampshire, and he has two top-10 finishes in four ACT races this season.

AUSTIN THERIAULT REACTS TO BEING CHOSEN TO TEST AT NH MOTOR SPEEDWAY:

“It’s going to be an awesome opportunity. It’s the biggest track in New England, and I really just can’t wait to go.

“It’s pretty humbling, to be honest. Not too many guys get the opportunity to race on that track. We’re just going to go there and do the best we can to get the car going, keep pace with everybody else, and hopefully, we’ll do well enough to get invited back for the race.”
