Brent Dragon Heading Back To
New Hampshire Motor Speedway

MILTON, Vt. — ACT Late Model Tour veteran Brent Dragon was one of 40 Late Model drivers invited by the American-Canadian Tour to test at New Hampshire Motor Speedway next month, the sanctioning body announced today. Each driver will participate in one full day of testing during the session on Aug. 17-18 in advance of the second annual ACT Invitational at the track on Sept. 18.

The test session also serves as an approval process for being invited to join the 43-car starting field in the 60-lap event. Dragon finished 19th in the inaugural ACT Invitational last September.

This season Dragon, who has more career ACT Late Model Tour starts than any other driver in history with 180, sits second in the ACT standings with five top-10 finishes through six races.

BRENT DRAGON REACTS TO BEING CHOSEN TO TEST AT NH MOTOR SPEEDWAY:

“I’m excited about it, I really am. I like that kind of track. Honestly, I think I’m more excited about going back this year than I was about going last year — especially knowing what we faced that year. That first morning, we were really nervous. We didn’t know what to expect, but now we’ve got a lot of the things that were issues last year under control.

“We have a much better starting place (with the car) than we did a year ago. We had no idea what we needed for springs or any of that. Just to have that — I think you’re going to see cars get a lot better this year. I think it’s going to be great going back, and I think it will make for a great test over there.”
