BOBBY SANTOS III TO RACE AT SEEKONK IN RACING AGAINST BREAST CANCER

SEEKONK, MA- NASCAR Whelan Modified points leader Bobby Santos III, of
Franklin, MA has filed his entry to compete in Racing Against Breast Cancer at Seekonk
Speedway on October 2nd. Driving the Clyde Booth of Troutman, NC #61, Bobby will
compete in his 4th Seekonk Speedway event in a Super Modified at a track he admits to
struggling at as of late. “I am really excited about racing a super modified at Seekonk;
Seekonk Speedway is the track I first raced a Super Modified at in 2003”, said Bobby
by telephone on his way to Loudon, NH last week. That “rookie” experience ended with
Bobby winning the Consi, and a 5th place finish behind race winner Bentley Warren,
Randy Ritskes, Pat Abold & Chris Perley. Bobby will be doing double driving duty as
he is also competing at Stafford Springs that weekend in the Whelan Modified Tour.
Joining Bobby at Seekonk is another NASCAR notable, 2008 Camping World Truck
Series Champion, Johnny Benson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC who unlike Santos, has never
competed or even seen the “Cement Palace”. Also in competition at the Bay State
Oval are the winners of the three pre-qualifier races, #11 Chris Perley, at Lee USA
Speedway, #88 Joey Scanlon at the Waterford Speedbowl, and #17 Ben Seitz at Oswego.
