Bradford, Vt. January 16, 2011

The Bear Ridge Speedway Hornet Queens set to return to the fastest clay oval in Vermont for the 2011 racing season.

The Queens in their fifth season will once again be running every other week starting May 14th thru championship night September 17th. To date only one female has claimed the title twice, will this be the year that Melissa King or Misty Bell go for a repeat or is someone else sitting in the wings to defy them the opportunity? Only time will tell as this division continues to grow each year.

The Queens will be running the opposite week of our newest division the “Stinging Hornets”. The Stinging Hornets will be for fourteen to sixteen year olds, (those without a driver’s license).

The “Stinging Hornets” will give the youth of today the opportunity to get their feet wet in a four cylinder front wheel drive, the vehicles run in the KDD NAPA Ridge Runner Hornets and the Ridge Runner Hornet Queens. The Queens have run every other week for the past four years, and in 2011 they will continue with the same schedule with the “Stinging Hornets” taking to the oval when the Queens are off.
In addition the 99ROCK wfrd weekly racing series five divisions: Sportsman Modifieds, Sportsman Coupes, Limited Late Models, Fast Fours, and Ridge Runner Hornets will be on hand to hit the dirt for the 44th consecutive season at the Ridge.

2011 SEASON PASSES (FRONT GATE ONLY) ARE NOW AVAILABLE. ADULTS 17-61 $150.00 SENIORS 62 AND UP, AND TEENS 12-16 $125.00, the SAME rate as the past several years.
