More new names added to THE RACE early entry list

NAPLES ME (January 4) The holiday season has come and gone and our thoughts may not be totally focused on racing at this time of year, but a new crop of early entrants found the time to sign on for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro, a 300 lap PASS South sanctioned race that will pay a whopping $75,000.00 to the winner.

Two Arizona racers lead the way. Scott Dodd and Scott Rueschenburg both hail from Mesa and they are going to make the long haul east to be a part of history when THE RACE gets the green on April 9. Dodd is a multi time winner at Irwindale Speedway and Rueschenburg has won races in multiple series from the Midwest to the left coast.

Ross Kenseth has a famous last name but he’s earned his own way in the super late model ranks. At the age of seventeen he’s already a champion and he will look for his biggest career win when he makes the trip to Wilkes County for THE RACE.

Ralph Brown will have a shorter haul from South Carolina, but multi time PASS North race winner Adam Bates will have a long pull from his Warner New Hampshire home. Spencer Wauters will wheel his dad Richie’s famed number five when qualifying gets underway on Saturday April 8. Floridian Jeff Choquette is a threat wherever he chooses to race, and Georgia’s Casey Roderick will be going all out to claim the first race ever run under the lights on the fabled short track.

Adult advance sale tickets for Saturday April 9 are $25.00 in advance, $35.00 on race day. Advance sale tickets for youngsters 6-12 are $10.00 in advance, $15.00 on race day.
