ACT Tour Racing
Oxford, ME. – #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson N.H. was very excited to return to Oxford in ACT competition; where just a year ago, he failed to qualify, while getting used to a new Ford power train. Fast forward to 2011, with Joeys success in his Ford, Polewarczyk Jr. was an odds-on-favorite to come away with a victory in The Big Jab 150.

After starting deep in his Heat Race, Joey needed the Consolation Race to qualify for the main event. After winning the Consolation Race with a fantastic fourth to first move at the on-set, Joey would start ninth on the thirty-three car field.

Polewarczyk was a fast mover and by lap 43, Joey was in 3rd place and looking for more. A caution flag, brought out by a spinning car on the backstretch caused Polewarczyk to spin to miss the car and that knocked the Toe out of the front end. Joey would be able to pilot the Pole’s Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion just fine and by lap 57 it was Joey and the leader of the race #50 Jeff White battling it out for a number of laps.

Joey could not keep his Ford down low and the race leader was very fast on the bottom. After the midway point in the 150-lap contest, Polewarczyk was content on running in the top five. Toward the end of the race, the #55 of Brent Dragon nipped Joey for the third spot. Polewarczyk had to settle for fourth spot.
