LOUDON, N.H. (July 13, 2011) – The New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities will once again host several events throughout the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 weekend. Below are opportunities to help children in need throughout New England.
Tomorrow, spend the day outside at Canterbury Woods Country Club for the One for the Kids Golf Tournament presented by Malco Distributors of New England. The golf tournament will feature NASCAR personalities Reed Sorenson, Brian Scott, Dick Berggren, Adam Alexander, Allen Bestwick, Larry McReynolds and Concord, N.H. native Matt Bonner from the San Antonio Spurs.
Friday, SCC will once again partner with the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth and David’s House to host the annual Governor’s Breakfast. This year’s breakfast features the 2011 Daytona 500 champion Trevor Bayne, NASCAR star and New England native Joey Logano and television personality Dick Berggren. Tickets are required and are available at www.racing2victory.org. The breakfast begins at 8am.
From Friday through Sunday children of all ages are invited to stop by the Princess 4 a Day and Toy 4 a Boy booth in the NHMS display area. For a $10 donation, girls can get a princess makeover including make-up, hair and nails. Boys will receive a car, autograph card and their photos made with Miss Teen Motor Speedway.
On Saturday, walk where the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars race during the SCC Track Walk presented by PPG. The track walk begins immediately following the New England 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. To Register online go to www.speedwaycharities.org under the NHMS tab. Onsite registration will be available at the SCC Track Walk tent located in the display area at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during the following times: Friday, July 15, from 9 a.m. until 4.pm., Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Online registration is $25 and onsite registration is $35.
