(Loudon, NH)- Joey Polewarczyk took some chances in a new front suspension set-up and it paid off for the 22-year-old, Hudson, NH native. Polewarczyk raced his way from a 32nd starting spot to a great 7th place finish in the 2011 edition of the ACT Invitational; held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 24.

“We tried several new items on our front suspension, our goal with that was to really get a better feel off the corners. We had an abbreviated practice session early in the day and we learned quite a bit on how the car would act during the main event.”

Joey would add, “I think the fact that I drew a thirty-second starting spot didn’t help my chances of repeating as the race winner. The race was also 10-laps shorter than last year; I think that really played into the way we finished. I’m not saying we would have won if it was still a 60-lap race but I know we were as fast as Eddie (MacDonald) and Nick (Sweet) but we ran out of laps.”
Joey would go on to say that he was really happy to be able to participate in the years Invitational. “It’s an honor to be invited without having won an Invitational race, like we did last year (Beech Ridge). I really think this was probably the most exciting race of the day.”

Joey said he was extremely happy with the way the car handled and he is very excited when the team travels to Thunder Road Speedbowl this coming Weekend to defend their Vermont Milk Bowl Title.
