Bear Ridge Speedway Doubleheader Washed Out
SCoNE Sprints, USAC Midgets to be rescheduled

BRADFORD, VT – Mother Nature wasn’t a race fan at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday night, washing out the Perry’s Oil Service doubleheader event that was to feature the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England and the USAC Dirt Midget Association along with a full card for the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series.

A valiant effort to get racing in was made by track management, including using the pine tree “jet dryer” trick made infamous at Bear Ridge Speedway, but persistent showers forced the plug to be pulled. All events and the kids’ bicycle races will be made up at a date to be announced soon.

Bear Ridge Speedway’s 45th season of stock car racing continues on Saturday, August 4 as Interstate Batteries of New-Mont and JTB Towing & Recovery present a the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series Modified, Coupe, Late Model, Fast Four, and Hornet divisions, the Hornet Queens, the Granite State Mini Sprints, and an antique tractor show. Regular general admission is $10 for adults (age 18-61), $8 for teens (12-17) and seniors (62+), and $2 for children; Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time.
