Canaan Fair Speedway to Host Granite State Pro Stock Series Season Finale
Championship race moved from Lee USA Speedway; Championship to be decided Sept. 16

CANAAN, N.H. — Canaan Fair Speedway will host the Granite State Pro Stock Series season finale on Sunday, September 16. The previously scheduled championship event at Lee USA Speedway has been canceled.

“We made this decision based on the best interest of our competitors,” Granite State Pro Stock Series President Mike Parks said. “Lee USA Speedway wanted to make this an open competition event, as they have had in years past for Oktoberfest. We have canceled our sanction of the event to honor their wishes, but we definitely look forward to working with Lee USA Speedway in the future.”

The Granite State Pro Stock Series 100 lap event on the “Awesome Asphalt” will be joined by a 50-lap North East Mini Stock Tour event, a 35-lap $300-to-win Pure Stock/Limited/ Thunder Stock event, and a $200-to-win SK Bean Enfield Garage Bandit/Wildcat/Lightning Stock challenge event.

Current Granite State Pro Stock Series point leader Bobby Cabral will have two races to hang on to his point lead and snag the inaugural series championship. Cabral, of East Kingston, NH, has claimed one feature win and has yet to finish outside the top-five.

Bobby Baillargeon, of Kingston, NH, rides the wave of momentum after his win at Hudson Speedway into the final two events of the season. Baillargeon currently sits just 22 points shy of Cabral. Rich Eaton, of Seabrook, NH, currently sits third in the standings, 28 points behind Cabral.

Canaan Fair Speedway is located just off Route 118 on Orange Road in Canaan, NH. The largest track the Granite State Pro Stock Series visit will also feature Canaan Fair Speedway regulars as they look to defend their home track against the invading series drivers.

Admission for the Granite State Pro Stock Series season finale is set for Adults $20, Seniors and Juniors $15, Kids ages 7 to 12 $5, and children 6 and under free. Pit fee will be $35 and the gates will open at 9:00am. Grandstand gates will open at 11:30am, with practice beginning at noon. Heat race qualifying will begin at 2:00pm.
