Vermont State Late Model Championship Series will return Friday, June 28

WEST HAVEN, VT – Mother Nature will take another victory at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, June 7, as consistent rainy forecasts will force the postponement of the People’s United Bank 100 stock car race at the West Haven, VT track.

The event is part of the four-race Vermont State Late Model Championship Series and was also scheduled to host championship races for the weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bond Auto Parts Modifieds, Renegades, and Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stocks.

In cooperation with Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT – the co-host site of the Vermont State Championship races – the People’s United Bank 100 has been rescheduled for Friday, June 28 at 7:00pm. The recent shuffling of race events due to weather-related postponements has created several other changes in the Devil’s Bowl Speedway schedule as well, which will be announced in the coming days.

Rookie Derrick O’Donnell of North Haverhill, NH leads the Vermont State Late Model Championship Series standings following his surprise victory in opening round at the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic 100 on May 27 at Thunder Road. As many as 30 race teams are expected to compete in the People’s United Bank 100 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, June 28.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosts the inaugural Carmody Ford “Slate Valley 100” – the first-ever Vermont appearance for the Granite State Pro Stock Series – on Friday, June 14 at 7:00pm. General admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and free for children 12 and under.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway is located on Route 22A in West Haven, VT, four miles north of Exit 2 on U.S. Route 4.
