EMILY, WHAT HAPPENED?
The (No. 51) was up on top of the track, riding on top of the wall. I saw him getting into it with some other guys and they were beating and banging quite a bit. When I saw him slowing down, I thought something had happened to his car. I went to go by him on the inside, and he came right down and clipped my right rear and turned me right into the wall.

The car was really bad. Really, really bad. The entire right front suspension is done. We had to saws-all the rim just so we could get the lugnuts off. It’s in really bad shape. It needs a whole new front clip.

HOW WAS THE CAR DURING THE DAY?
We were a little tight on new tires in practice, but the car was really fast. We had a great heat race. We ran on the outside for half of it with (eventual race winner Joey Polewarczyk Jr.), had the lead for a couple of laps. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t finish up up there.

We fell back to third. We got a minus-one, which wasn’t too bad but we could have gotten more out of it. It stinks because the car was so good all day.
