JOHN, HOW GOOD DID TONIGHT FEEL?
We had a really good night. The heat race went really well after we made some changes in practice. I didn’t quite have enough for the 2X, but I was happy with it. In the feature, I thought we were going to get the same thing – riding behind the 2X the whole time.

But the car was really fast, and I was able to get wheel-to-wheel with him. We ran side-by-side for countless laps. It was just a great race, and it was a lot of fun.

DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING LEFT AT THE END OF THE NIGHT?
At the end of the race, I just got too tight. I couldn’t hold it down as well as I needed to to get back to the gas. With a couple of laps to go, I just pushed up and the 38 was able to get by me so we finished third.

But, overall, I’m so happy with how it went tonight.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE YOUR FIRST PODIUM FINISH IN NELCAR?
My dad worked really hard all day, and we made a bunch of changes after practice to get the car better. I’m really excited about this. It’s our first Top-3, so I couldn’t be any happier right now.
