gdfgdfgdMooresville, NC 2/16/14- Still over a month away from the inaugural race on March 28th at Southern National; officials from the CARS Tour have released sixty-seven teams and drivers from as far as St. John, New Brunswick, Canada to as close Mooresville, North Carolina that have registered for the 2015 season. The list includes both veterans of the short track world, series champions, and rookies alike creating a quality mix of talent for fans preparing to attend CARS Tour events throughout the season.

As expected Late Model Stock Car teams lead the way in count with thirty-eight teams locked in to compete at least on a part time basis with the new tour. The list features a true who’s who of Late Model Stock Car racing. Familiar names many will recognize such as Tommy Lemons Jr, Deac McCaskill, Austin McDaniel, Thomas Bean, Jamey Caudill, and Matt Bowling have all signed up for the upcoming season. In addition a plethora of drivers like Mike Darne, driving for Jim Dean, Todd Gilliland, son of NASCAR Spring Cup driver David Gilliland, Chris Davis, and Justin Johnson are just as ready for what the 2015 season brings.

On the Super Late Model side of things twenty-nine drivers from seven different states and one Canadian province make up the early released roster of drivers. Brandon Setzer, Harrison Burton, Cale Gale, former PASS South champions Kyle Grissom and Tyler Church all have full intentions with the CARS Tour. Anderson Bowen, the defending Southern Super Series champion, Todd Gilliland, Zane Smith, out of the Crooks Racing stables, and Steve Wallace are amongst those registered. The most notable super late model driver hails some 1,200 miles away from the CARS Tour office in St John, New Brunswick, Canada. Lonnie Sommerville, the two time winner of the Auto Value 250 at Speedway 660, has plans to compete in 3-4 CAR Tour events in 2015.
