Lee, NH – Joe Squeglia, Jr. of Derry, New Hampshire showed the Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model touring stars the fast way around Lee USA Speedway Friday night, claiming his first-ever touring series victory over a stellar field of New England’s premiere full-bodied stock car racers.

Squeglia outgunned fellow front row starter Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Massachusetts for the early lead, battled series regular Bryan Kruczek through the middle stages of the 150-lapper, then outran former series champion Travis Benjamin of Morrill, Maine to the checkered flag.  It was clearly the biggest career win for one of the happiest winners to claim top honors in recent PASS North Series history.

Benjamin was closing as the laps ran out, finishing 1.67-seconds behind the winner after starting the race from 15th position.  Hermon, Maine’s Mike Hopkins drove from his 12th starting position to a third-place finish in his first-ever visit to New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, New Hampshire ended up in fourth position under the checkered flag.Kruczek, of Newmarket, New Hampshire, was the only other driver to lead the race, setting the pace for 36 laps before fading and finishing in fifth position.

Derek Ramstrom of West Boylston, Massachusetts crossed the line in sixth position. Jeremy Davis of Tamworth, New Hampshire battled hard throughout the race and ended up in seventh spot.  Former Series Champion DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire was eighth, with early frontrunner Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine close behind.  Richie Dearborn of Hollis, Maine rounded out the top ten.

Following a non-winners PASS SLM race at Oxford Plains Speedway on July 3, the next points-counting race for the Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Models is the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150 scheduled for Saturday, July 9 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.   The PASS North Super Late Models return to Lee USA Speedway for another 150-lap race on Friday, August 12.  For more information visit proallstarsseries.com or call (207) 539-8865.
