EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard was looking forward to running the 52nd Annual Milk Bowl this weekend at Thunder Road, but Mother Nature has a way of changing plans.

With the opportunity to showcase her talents at the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine on October 13th through the 15th, Packard’s travel/Combine schedule doesn’t allow her enough time to run the Late Model race at Thunder Road and then travel to Virginia in a timely manner.  “I was really looking forward to competing in the Milk Bowl this weekend,” said Packard, “but by it being moving to next weekend, we just didn’t have enough time to allow us to race and then travel to Virginia as needed to meet the Drive for Diversity schedule .”

“A giant thank you to all my sponsors for all the support that they have given to me and my team this season, we really wished the weather had cooperated with us so we could run the Milk Bowl this weekend.  Thank you again to Northstar Fireworks, Packard Fuels, Be the Match, R.G. Paving, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Fecteau Homes, Yipes! of Barre, Berlin Optical Expressions, Vermont Shifter Karts and GossCars.com.  We hope to continue representing each of these great sponsor’s again in the 2015 season.”
