First of Two Test and Tune
Winchester, NH: Monadnock Speedway held their first of two test and tune sessions this past Sunday. The practice was originally scheduled on Saturday, April 17th however due to inclement weather it was postponed to Sunday.
Many new race teams filled the pit area eager to take to ΒΌ mile high banked track shaking down their race machines. All divisions were represented including the new Sportsman Modifieds and the Young Guns. The Young Guns were the most impressive as the youth racers started off nervously however ended the session very confident improving their lap times while being coached by track officials.
The final open test and tune session will be held Saturday, April 24th. Pit gates will open at 9:00am and the practice rounds will be from noon-4pm for all divisions except the Young Guns. The Young Guns will once again have track time from 4pm-5pm. The staff will be on hand to process NASCAR licenses, season passes and distribute transponders.
On Saturday, May 1st Monadnock Speedway will host the Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash Season Opener. The special event will include 100 lap Modified Racing Series plus Outlaw Pros, Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Young Guns and Enduros. Race time is at 6pm.
