Trevor Sanborn: PASS North Series
Lee USA Speedway Race Report

Trevor Sanborn of Parsonsfield, Maine, finished seventh in the PASS North Series Bastille 200 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H., on Tuesday, July 13. The finish was Sanborn’s fourth top-10 in six races this season and kept him third in the PASS North standings and in the championship hunt. Sanborn ran as high as fourth in the first half of the event, but ran into problems with the tire stagger on his No. 44 Richard Moody Racing Ford after pitting on lap 101. After going a lap down, Sanborn rallied to get back on the lead lap and earn the seventh-place finish.

TREVOR, HOW WOULD YOU RATE YOUR NIGHT OVERALL?

I thought we had a decent run. We started out pretty good and got up toward the front. We thought we had a pretty good car in the second groove, but couldn’t do much passing on the bottom. The car was just too tight off.

THINGS DIDN’T IMPROVE AFTER THE PIT STOP, UNFORTUNATELY.

Halfway through we pitted, and the right sides tires — we were just worse the next run. The stagger was off a little bit, and we just had to survive. That’s it.

HOW EAGER ARE YOU TO GO RACE AT BEECH RIDGE IN JUST FOUR DAYS?

I can’t wait to get back there. I’m pretty excited. We know we’ll have a good piece there, so hopefully we’ll get that first (PASS North) win.

The car’s in good shape. We’ll just clean it up a little bit and get ready for the next one.
