(Loudon, NH) – American Canadian Tour Late Model Sensation #97NH Joey Polewarczyk Jr, a native of Hudson, NH will be making the short trek to New England’s only Super Speedway this Friday and Saturday.
Polewarczyk, the Winner of the 2010 ACT Invitational back in September, 2010 really enjoys the experience of driving his Poles Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion around the 1.058-mile oval.
Joey talks about coming to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, “We really enjoy the stage that ACT President Tom Curley sets for us at Loudon, the professionalism is great, these cars are real racy here and it has become something really special to be able to come back, especially for a points counting event”
“We are very hungry to get our first point counting ACT Win this Weekend. We have a new body on the car and it has never looked better. We won the invitational in 2010 and we have resorted back to that exact set-up”
When asked if Polewarczyk liked the racing format he said, “I like the fact that the Heat Races are 20-laps. If someone were to draw a bad starting spot, there is quite a bit of time to move to the front. Nobody needs to get crazy, this is a high speed track and the 20-lap Heat Races are a great idea”
As mentioned before, Joey Polewarczyk Jr was the Winner of the 2nd Annual ACT Invitational held at NHMS last September. Joey reflected on hoisting that Granite Trophy over his head. “It was an awesome feeling to win last year’s Invitational but that was last year, seeing as this is a points counting race makes it a totally different animal. Our first goal is to qualify; there will be the usual tough Full-time ACT competitors and a whole bunch of new faces. I believe we will be okay and we will qualify, hopefully though our Heat Race.”
Once the qualifying action is over on Friday, the action heats up early Saturday, with the first of two ACT Races set to green flag at 10:30am (25-Laps). The final race which will determine the winner is set for 6:30pm (50-laps). The time in-between races have some teams concerned. Joey responded, “The track can and probably will be totally different from one segment to the other, as far as grip and drivability. We simply see this as part of the ACT Late Model Challenge.”
